GOING, GOING, GONE
The big inning is not really the problem for Jon Lester. It is giving up the long ball. Lester has given up 11 homers in only 60 innings. Last season, he allowed 14 over 210. Lester's K, BB, and Line Drive rates are consistent to last year. His stuff, for the most part, has been just as good as 2008. It would seem that hitters are getting a better read and not missing Lester. Could the southpaw be tipping his pitches?
