PRE-LONG WEEKEND START OF THE SUMMER TRIPLE PLAY
* After winning seven in a row at home, the Sox are in a great spot as they head out West. Olde Towne Team is exceeding my expectations. Hopefully, it will continue on the left coast.
* In an article yesterday, Nate Silver of Baseball Prospectus wrote:
PECOTA thinks that he’s essentially Julio Lugo’s equal at this point, even after accounting for his slightly inferior defense.
Food for thought.
* Has anyone seen Daniel Bard pitch? Is he throwing a breaking ball or just bringing his mid-to-high 90’s free and easy heat?
