MY FAVORITE DAY IN BOSTON
Marathon Monday is the best. The original breakfast with the Sox plus booze. After the game, heading down Boylston to the finish line…drinkin’ all the way. It is just such a fun day in Boston. Everyone seems to have a much more positive attitude. No work, the winter is finally over, consuming all day with friends and “this could be the year” likely had a lot to do with the 180 change in outlook.
I haven’t experienced a Marathon Monday since 2004. Even if the attitude adjustment is not as pronounced, it could be this year with the Bruins hanging tough and the Celtics having their best season since Larry, Kevin and the Chief walked through that door. I wish all of you a great day since I’ll be crunching Q3 numbers for a Board Meeting tomorrow.

On a totally different note, I don’t understand the media’s obsession with the Pope - a significant minority, around 25%, of Americans are Catholic. At least, it is not as bad as their obsession with the British royal family who have almost no impact on any Americans’ life.
