TITO IS A GREEN LIGHT AND THE REST
Even though we all complain about Terry Francona’s in-game decision making over 162, he brings it in the postseason. Foulke and Papelbon’s usage, going with Ellsbury and Kielty are all prime examples. Plus, both the players and management love him. This was a great signing.
Will Carroll of BP came out with his health report on the Sox. Three players have been rated as red or stand good chance of going on the DL. The trio are Jacoby Ellsbury, J.D. Drew and Clay Buchholz. Drew is a no brainer knowing his history. Buchholz is young rookie pitcher, which is an inherent risk. Carroll explains Ellsbury more here. This is just another reason to hang onto Coco Crisp and the inking of Bartolo Colon.
