Billy Beane is cleaning house. He traded a classic Oakland player - Nick Swisher. He is a high OBP, work the count slugger that plays an above average corner outfielder and is under contract at a below market rate. The trade also tells me that Beane could be building a better mouse trap or finding a new undervalued baseball skill.
As for the Sox, Rich Harden should be a target at the right price. He has tremendous upside.
