STAY CLASSY SAN DIEGO
I’ve got nothing against San Diego. PETCO Park and the Del are wonderful. It is a nice city. But the Chargers can kiss it. Tomlinson needs to shut the f*ck up. (BTW, where is the real L.T.? Why isn’t he on some cocaine fueled rage that someone has stolen his nickname?) They got an old fashion a$$ kickin’ last night – fair and square- and with two All-Pros out on defense. Thank you very much.
Red Sox Weekend Observations
* Joe Morgan sucks!
* Schilling has not completely transformed himself. If he had, Schilling doesn’t throw those splitters. With that being said, Schilling looked damn good.
* Is Joe Torre purposely the slowest mother walking to the mound? And when your club is getting it handed to them, there is no need to go to the left-right matchups numerous times in the same inning. It is like Torre is got a piece of Fox’s ad revenue.
* Paps has great control of his fastball – he throws it for strikes – but the command isn’t always present. He gets away with it because his velocity and movement are sick. Unfortunately, it got him into trouble on Friday.
* Eric Gagne has to step it up. Okijma has not been getting outs. Hitters must be saying “Fool me shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.” Without a good Gagne, Clay Buchholz is in the postseason pen and not in the rotation where he can have the most impact.
