Pitching Matchup - Josh Beckett v Rogah Clementine
Rogah versus...
* Manny - 180/317/380 with 3 HR, 10 BB, 18 SO in 50 at-bats
It was surprising to see that only one Red Sox had more than 25 at-bats versus Rogah. With that in mind, Youk is a good matchup. He is a relatively underrated fastball hitter and hits balls lower in the zone better than most too. The Clementine fastball-split works into Youk's strengths.
Beckett versus...
* Abreu - 163/410/349 with 2 HR, 18 BB, 16 SO in 43 at-bats
Hopefully, the Josh Beckett doesn't get too pumped up facing his idol and becomes the old Josh Beckett speeding everything up, trying to over power everyone and piling up the walks. I'm not betting on it since he beat Clementine at the Stadium for the W.S.
