BOBBY KIELTY - WILY MO PENA

Just because Bobby Kielty is in the fold doesn't mean that Wily Mo Pena is leaving Boston, even though he has reportedly cleared waivers according to the Globe. The Sox do not want to sell WMP at his current low price. They should have dealt him over the winter. The signing of J.D. Drew indicated he was not going to start in rightfield. The Sox should have dealt the DH then and not now.

But one option is to let Kyle Synder go when Kielty joins the team. It is highly unlikely that he will sustain his current glowing E.R.A. with a 29/25 K/BB ratio. The Olde Towne Team doesn't need two long relievers and Tavarez is the better choice given his versatility.
