THE SOX IN THE SOUTH

Kudos to Tito for recognizing that the speedy sub-300 OBP pair known as Julio Lugo and Coco Crisp should not routinely get four plate appearance per game. They were just making too many of the Olde Towne Team’s 27 outs. With J.D. Drew and D.P. hitting, it was an easy decision for Francona.

As we have learned the Sox lineup can withstand one automatic out (Kapler, Alex Gonzalez, etc.), but two? Hopefully, Coco continues his recent hot hitting. A change in his stance could be contributing to his success, according to Rotoworld, so this may be for real. Coco could be turning the page on his hand/finger injury plagued 500+ Red Sox PAs and getting back to his form in Cleveland.

Unfortunately, it’s Crisp and not Lugo rounding into form in mid-June. The Sox have reasonable options for the centerfielder - both internally (Jacoby Ellsbury and David Murphy) and externally (Kenny Lofton), but none for Lugo.

BTW, Atlanta is the most underrated party city in the US - Buckhead!

And this is what I think about Crow not allowing her video to be embed. (Video is NSFW).
