WAH, MY PUSSY HURTS!

"I'm not disappointed that he's not pitching at Fenway," Torre said. "I don't think that series needs any more hype than it gets every time we play it, whether it's in Fenway or at the Stadium. You'd obviously be tempted if you had a kid pitching and you can replace him with Roger Clemens. When you have Wang, Moose and Andy, there's really not the temptation to do that."

Torre has fallen off the deep end, so he should stay around. Torre is trying to give Clemens cover on being a wussy, but no one is buying it. Chad Finn got it right from the start.

If Roger Clemens fulfills the media's daydream-du-jour and makes his first '07 start at Fenway Park in the Sox/Yanks series June 1-3, I'll order one of his wife's unbelievably tacky sequined Yankees jean jackets...

QUICK HITS

* If Josh Beckett is fine today, we have our #1 back!

* El Guapo's Ghost is usually not one to make at lot about the lineup order, but Lugo and Coco should not be getting the bulk of the plate appearances batting at the top of the order. Tito is giving up too many outs.

* Paps not pitching last night is a concern.
