THE SOX GOT A DEAL ON DICE-K
The Globe's Gordon Edes has confirmed that the sides have reached a preliminary agreement on a $52 million, six-year contract, including escalators that could bring the total as high as $60 million.
If the Sox only had to guarantee $52 million over six years, they likely got him for a discount but not as much as the mainstream media might protray. Once the deal is final, I'll explain further my above statement and the ROI on Dice-K.
Anyone else think it was interesting that John Henry's plane was scheduled to land in Houston before L.A.?
