IT WAS A GOOD DAY ONE

Curt Schilling looked great. He had good control (one walk), nice velocity (90-94 mph), and an effective split. After today's performance, I am more inclined to think that his last spring start was just a warm up for Opening Day. Schilling's second to last start was more like today. If today's Schilling takes the mound every fifth day, summer time will equal good times.

Other good things: Mike Lowell hit a dinger, Petagine hit a homer off of K-Rod, Paps looked like a power reliever, Coco can really move, the West Sox foolishly thought Nomar would stay healthy and dropped Choi, and Big Papi, Tek, Manny just keep doing it well. And the one bad: Keith Foulke got hit hard again. Thankfully, the Sox have a plan B, C, and D.

My good versus evil analysis is almost done. I know everyone just can't wait (ha ha).
