ALDS GAME 1 RECRAP
It is clear that Matt Clement has nothing - physically and mentally. He had no control and rarely threw his best pitch - the slider - instead going with a two-seam fastball.
I also suck.
Other than control, the one concern is the possibility of a couple of crap hits and a hanger that leaves the park. Eight of the nine hitters can go yard at any time for Chicago.
It is nine out of nine. When Podsednik goes yard, not once, but twice, you can chalk this one up to an outlier.
Jose Contreras pitched well and got some help from the home plate umpire. The real Contreras was on the mound today. He also showed the local nine a different angle throwing both the fastball and a breaking ball from the side. Contreras was tough.
Basically, Our Sox got their a$$es handed to him, but tomorrow the slate is cleaned with Buehrle going for the Other Sox versus David Wells.

Podsednik didnt hit 2 homers. That was Pierzynski. Podsednik hit 1.
