DOMINATE
Josh Beckett had the best Red Sox postseason start in my lifetime, statistically speaking. (One could argue for Schilling’s bloody sock in MFY Stadium or Pedro’s seven innings of no hit relief in Cleveland are the best pitching performances.) Beckett was just sick – after I put on my luck El Guapo Red Sox t-shirt from back (knock on wood). He looked a lot like Schilling back in 2004.
Beckett’s performance was not a surprise. What sort of was…was the walking wounded – Kevin Youkilis, David Ortiz, Manny – looking so good. Youk’s wrist and Big Papi’s knee appeared to be fine last night. Manny seems focused and the oblique looks healthy after taking a second when the ball got away from LAA’s catcher – the muscle gave him problems running. The hitters are healthy now and so are the Sox. One down – ten to go!
BTW, not sure who I hate more TBS or FOX's coverage.
