MUCH RESPECT

The new tight lipped Yawkey Way has to be making life tougher for the local professional journalists. If memory is correct, they had nothing on any trade rumors. These guys used to be on top of everything. It appears that the locals got out scooped (we don’t know for sure) by WFAN and folks other than Peter Gammons at ESPN. (BTW, it is great to hear that Mr. Gammons is doing well. Hope you get back soon!) I’m not hear to crap on them just sympathize and to say that I love being a blogger. We have no inherent creditability, due to lack of access, editors and the name power of being employed by a media company, so I and other can throw out names like Javy Lopez on Tuesday night because it is just logical. I would think pros like Sean McAdam have to wait on their rationale speculation, try to get all of the Sargent Schultz clones running around Fenway to confirm the notion, run it by an Editor and then publish the report. All I need to do is a google search, read, type and hit the publish button. I don’t envy guys like McAdam as much anymore.
